IMR4350 and H4350 are at the same burn rate, but they aren't interchangeable. I load for 2 rifles that like H4350 and I use IMR4350 load data as a reference because the books I have don't list H4350 BUT I always start at the low end and work my way up watching for pressure. If you can get H4350 easily then try it, it's a damn good powder for '06. Don't over look IMR 4350 either. I switched to H4350 and found it okay, but could not find more when I needed it. Next I went to IMR4451, one of the new Enduron powders and find it very good and generally available. Based on the Hodgdon site info for the 4350 powders compared in the same conditions try dropping Barnes IMR data 2.0gr on both ends, (61.5gr - 68.0gr) I have shot the 338WM with a 210 Partition and 74.0gr of RL-19 with good results. I haven't tried the Barnes bullets in the 338WM in any combination. 3.This method of 1 shot at progressively higher loads tells me little. 3 to 5 shot groups at each load is my preferred method. My method netted me these results. Both H4350, and RL16 loaded from 40 to 43 in both ,all groups were 1" or less. RL16 was tightest with under .5" between 42.1 and 42.3 . 42.3 was .28".Try not to assume IMR 4350 and H4350 are identical, you can see below they are close but not identical. IMR is going to be a little hotter and more temp sensitive. dont accidentally load H4350 data with IMR 4350 powder and vice versa. H4350 will show up again. Be patient and use what the most of us in the 6.5mm (260, 6.5creed, 6.5x47L) are using.
